Joy in the chaos
In which we have moved in together, and we've been so busy we had barely anything for you all week
Best beloveds!
Pallavi and I are finally living in the same house!
This could potentially produce endless Instagram content, for better or worse. Last night, for example, as she kindly rubbed my poor abused feet, she thought we should go live… Fear not! Better sense prevailed :D Our friends will soon be sick of us Instagramming each other Instagramming… and so on.
Jokes apart, it’s a wonderful feeling to be living inside the podcast as it were, though we have far less structure and only short bursts of unearthing trauma in our daily life so far. And we have so many wonderful projects that we can get cracking on, now that we don’t have to message each other 100 times to find a time to have a call etc.
That said, we’re sorry we’ve been so quiet—it was the move! I even missed writing the blog, but it was LITERALLY moving day so I’m sure you will forgive me. I also, with great foresight and wisdom, took a trip the whole week before the move, so I was a little stressed when my plane landed at 945pm on Friday. Nevertheless, I persisted, and here we are, our kitchens almost integrated (hysterical laughter), and our living room arranged to both our satisfaction.
We hope you enjoyed the first of our not-so-intense episodes last week! (And forgive that title—honestly, how was I to resist?) Since there is no blog post, may I offer up this selection of my personal favourites that you can reread or even read for the first time if you’ve only recently joined us? You can also listen to Pallavi and me on the wonderful Jennifer Radke’s Fat Girl Book Club podcast, fangirling over Sofie Hagen’s incredible book Happy Fat.
We’ve gotten some new sign-ups this past week, and to you we say hello! Welcome! This is one of those parties where you’re welcome to bring ALL YOUR FRIENDS! (I’m trying to find new ways to say like, share, subscribe, tell your friends… Is it working?)
Until next week then!
love,
Ameya (and Pallavi)
